Category B – Bridging Visas (Video & Quiz)

This is a Category B – CPD Activity for Migration Agents. OMARA Activity Number DN524.

Bridging visas are important visas to allow a person to remain lawfully in Australia. This course is a self-paced, distant learning course designed for Registered Migration Agents and Lawyers. A video recording is provided as a learning material on the Bridging visas topic. There are no guidebooks provided for this course.  A quiz is available for Category B assessment.

For Registered Migration Agents (RMA):

Participants must complete the 12 question Quiz, and answer at least 9 questions correctly in order to be eligible for the award of 1 CPD – Category B points for OMARA. 

After successfully completing the Quiz, RMAs must declare that they have completed the Quiz independently, by submitting the declaration form. CPD points will be reported to OMARA within 14 days of declaration.

For Lawyers

Lawyers are not required to complete the Quiz, but may do so as a learning tool. Lawyers may claim one CPD unit for each hour of viewing if it relates to your CPD needs according to the Uniform CPD (Solicitors) Rules 2015 available (here). These recordings are considered Private Study units of an audio/visual material. Check with your State/Territory legal regulator on the limit of CPD units available to be claimed as Private Study units.
